Continuous Feedback
How does Continuous Feedback work?
We believe that the best feedback comes immediately after collaboration between team members. Windy uses Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) to reach out to employees at exactly the right time, with the right context, to get the best feedback possible.
Here's how it works:
Windmill connects to your existing business systems (Slack, Google Drive, Jira, Github etc.).
We analyze millions of business activities to find key moments and events that should yield helpful feedback - and understand who is best positioned to provide that feedback.
Via Slack, Windy will reach out to team members, collect feedback while it's fresh, and aggregate the feedback for managers to better understand the value that everyone brings to the org -- and to shorten the feedback loop, so the team can improve every day.

Setting up a Continuous Feedback Routine
Creating a Continuous Feedback Routine is easy. Simply click "Set up Routine" and select "Continuous Feedback." From there, you'll get a list of your team's current integrations, then you'll configure visibility and activate the routine.
Why the Windmill way helps your team
1. Team members deserve feedback in real time. Modern managers shouldn't be waiting for dedicated performance cycles. Instead, they should ensure that employees have the opportunity to improve on a weekly basis.
2. Managers shouldn't have to drive feedback collection on their own. Being a manager is hard, and it's difficult to keep track of the contributions of each team member. Windmill helps collect feedback from collaborators that you may have overlooked, and who may not have been tapped for feedback in a traditional 360 review.
3. Keep your team focused on the right things. Your org should not have to stop dead in it's tracks to run a month long review cycle. The pace of business move too quickly to have your managers and team members writing hours of reviews. Windmill simplifies the process so you can focus on continual feedback and delivering value for your customers.
How often will I be prompted for feedback?
Windmill believes that the more feedback, the better. At the end of the day, feedback is a gift. That said, we are always optimizing around minimizing the effort required to provide feedback. As a general baseline, we strive to get feedback one or twice a week per employee.
Where does the feedback within Windmill come from?
The feedback you see in Windmill can come from a few different places:
Windy can collect it through Slack - Windy will solicit feedback from people at critical moments, ensuring the feedback is timely and relevant.
Your underlying business systems - We can also identify feedback in other systems, Slack, Google, Jira, etc. and pull that in as well.
When and where will I see the feedback I leave & receive?
The feedback is extracted from chats that run every 2 hours. If you leave a piece of feedback with Windy in Slack, you will see the feedback in the platform on your Windmill profile (under "Feedback Given") within three hours.
